I’m Jamie. I enjoy photographing people, products and places. Portraits and headshots indoors, commercial and food work on the table, and aerial drone photography around Puget Sound. I live on the Kitsap Peninsula, and typically shoot evenings and weekends – usually at my studio on Bainbridge Island.
My passion for photography is balanced with an equal passion for engineering. This shows up in the parts of the job most photographers send away: Lighting physics, compositing, 3D modelling and physical set design. Shooting at my studio isn’t just throwing together a few lights and hoping for the best, it is a choreograph of light and color that begins at my desk. It is why an image can be built rather than found: a set, light shaped to a purpose, and a finish done by hand instead of by preset.
I am a Certified Professional Photographer and a member of the Photographic Society of America. Aerial work is flown under an FAA Part 107 certificate and insured per job.
